The Silent Surge is an exhibit that seeks to raise awareness about the pressing issue of climate change through the medium of sculpture.
This installation visually portrays the escalating rise in sea levels caused by climate change, according to Global sea level difference from 1993-2010 (CSIRO, 2023). It comprised of acrylic strips with lengths corresponding to the actual rise in sea levels for a specific year and strips suspended in a dynamic formation, evoke the ebb and flow of ocean waves.
By inviting viewers to engage with the exhibit, The Silent Surge aims to inspire reflection, dialogue, and a deeper understanding of the present state of climate change.
